Why FREE Hardwood Flooring you ask?
It's very simple really. I teach wood flooring classes in the Seattle, Olympia, Tacoma, Tumwater area and rather than take up valuable storage space saving the wood I use in my classes or throwing it away, I give it to people who are on my LIST. ( I used to save it WHAT A MESS!!) That makes it a promotional expense AND a tax deduction too.

Evidently it's a promotional expense well spent as YOU are reading this page. Many of the people who ask to be on my LIST will end up as "temporary apprentices" once they talk to me and find out what I offer. They will also recommend me to others so that they too may have a rewarding experience. I offer online help for FREE and will come help you in your home for an hourly fee.

I recently moved to the Seattle, WA area and teach people how to install, sand and refinish their own wood floors. I have over 25 years as a wood flooring contractor. I have found it very satisfying to teach someone to work on their own wood floors. I have found that when the customer becomes my "temporary apprentice" they:

  • Always show up to work

  • Do quality work as it's their floor

  • Appreciate their floors more

  • Learn some new skills (It's been called floor sanding boot camp by some)

  • Write the check faster when they realize they were planning on doing the whole job themselves (grin)

    It really is hard work but very satisfying work when done correctly

  • Become lifetime friends

Include the species of wood you are looking for and the quantity you would like. Include your number and address. You need to come to where the wood is and pick up the wood so how far you are willing to travel is up to you. It is not always in the same place so knowing your locality will help me make it practical for you.

I also consider barter arrangements for my hourly rate of in home instruction which is 30 dollars/hour. Some people only need my help to get started. Some need me to help with the whole job. I strive to save you money and effort wherever possible.
