Unification Wars
Type: MMOG ( Massively Multiplayer Online Games or Massive Multiplayer Online Games )
Category: Strategy Games, Turn Based Games, Real-Time Strategy Games (RTS)
Theme: Space, Science Fiction, Futuristic
Players: 800,000+
Introduction
Unification Wars is set in the distant future, you start off as the leader of a small band
of planets and your goal is to be the Emperor of the entire Galaxy by enslaving all others.
There is approx. 800,000+ players during the time when this review was written
(2006-08-08) making it one of the biggest game around.
Game Play
You start of by building up your economy, at the same time recruiting a minister or
general to assist you out. Then you move on to joining up one of the available clan
(called Federation in the game) and try to conquer as many planets as you can.
In this game you have to juggle many aspects of things such as trying to peacefully
explore for planets or wage war for it. While it is relatively easy to be peaceful
with minimal planets as the number of planets grows your empire will ultimately be
the target of other hostile empires trying to attack you to steal away your planets.
Player Interaction
In this game, clan play is very important as your clan members can send reinforcements
to you and to assist you out in many areas. Being in a good clan and a bad clan can
make a lot of different.
Comments
I would rate Unification Wars as a great game to play, superb community based users,
and the interaction between players in the game really make the game feel really huge.
I mean I have personally played many other MMORPG or MMOG before, and it feels rather
lonely in those games even with hundreds of players online. In this game you can see
other players online and easily communicate with them making you feel that there is
a ton of players out there in the game. The players are generally nice and friendly,
which is another plus.
