Words of Wisdom From A 3 year Old

This past summer I asked my just turned 3 year old "What is summer all about?"

His reply:
1. play
2. food
3. smell the flowers
4. wait for the green light

wow! My son is brilliant I thought, such words of wisdom. I wrote it down in a journal I am keeping for him and added my own comments:

1. Play: Remember to have fun in your life. Remember to laugh, to smile, to find the lighter and brighter side of things. Don't take life too seriously - there is always time to play.

2. Food: Always respect your body by nourishing it with healthy foods. You will live longer and feel better, you will think more clearly and achieve so much more because you really are what you eat!

3. Smell the flowers: No matter how busy you get, how hectic things are, take the time to appreciate nature, your surroundings and the present moment.

4. Wait for the green light: Don't get impatient. Some things you have to wait for. Some of the best things in life take a long time to achieve and a lot of hard work to get there. Sometimes its alright to rush out ahead, but sometimes its best to wait for your turn.
