Learn to promote yourself not your product!

Are you new to internet marketing, or have you been active for some time, but never been able to make any real income?

The main reason for this is probably that the people reading your adverts don't know you, and if they don't know you they are unlikely to see your proposition as trustworthy.

There are so many scams and dodgy people on the internet these days, just out to make a quick buck, that trust is in extremely short supply in the marketplace.

Would you buy purely on the basis of an advert from a total stranger, possibly, but if the advert came from a person you built a relationship with you would be more likely to buy.

This is the basic principle of attraction marketing, you need to 'GIVE' quality content, with no reference to your product you ultimately want to sell. When possible clients see your content they may respond to that and get in touch with you, or at least keep an eye out for further information from you.

Over a period of time this builds your reputation and you begin to get known and trusted. The key to this is giving away frequent quality content.

When you get them to sign up to your list, by giving away something of 'VALUE', a book, a short course, a newsletter subscription, or something similar, you need to follow up with more useful content. As you build trust you are effectively promoting yourself, not your products.

These ideas may well be new to you, but, they will work, given time. You wont make a fortune overnight, but when you do start making money it will be with a solid foundation and as you know anything that is not built with a solid foundation is not going to last long.
